Nominator's project description

Professor Malmendier is well known internationally for her outstanding research in corporate finance and behavioural economics. She has made important contributions to the theory of the formation and the properties of utility functions. Within her studies, she combines a large variety of empirical methods with intuitive economic insight. During her stay in Germany, she intends to work on behavioural aspects of political economy, the foundations of behavioural economics as well as takeovers in corporate finance.
